Kevin Ford, Jr. Reports $207,270 Raised in January Filing; Demonstrating Front-Runner Strength in Maryland State Senate District 24 Race

Prince George’s County, MD — The campaign of Kevin Ford Jr., candidate for Maryland State Senate in District 24, reported $207,270 in total contributions in its January campaign finance report filed with the Maryland State Board of Elections.

The report reflects contributions from more than 650 individual donors, with over 60 percent coming from Maryland residents, underscoring broad grassroots support and deep local investment in Ford’s vision for District 24 and Prince George’s County.

“These numbers reflect a campaign that people believe in and want to be part of,” said Richard Merritt, Campaign Manager. “Raising more than $207,000 at this point in the cycle speaks to Kevin’s record of service, the clarity of his message, and the strength and discipline of an operation that is prepared to compete and win in June.”

Ford, a longtime community advocate and organizer, is running on a platform focused on public safety through prevention, stronger schools, neighborhood revitalization, and leadership that is present, accountable, and accessible. The campaign has emphasized early investment in voter contact, visibility, and grassroots organizing to build a durable path to victory.
